WHAT IS M SAND?
M Sand stands for manufactured sand. It is largely used as a substitute to the natural river sand. Manufactured sand is artificially produced by crushing hard granite stones. The cubical shaped crushed sand has grounded edges. It is washed and graded uniformly into the material suitable for construction purpose.
USES OF MANUFACTURED SAND
With ever-increasing number of buildings, there is growing construction industry like never before. This has led to the substantial rise in the demand of building materials.
Natural river sand alone cannot meet such an elevated demand. The bulk demand has added to the depletion of superior quality river sand. Also, the natural sand often adds to the transportation cost for its far off availability.
Since M sand is produced artificially hence with fewer efforts can be made available at nearby places. This easily cuts the transportation cost down, further cutting down the cost of construction. Also, it provides an uninterrupted supply at the same time, letting the natural sand restore.
Due to its dust free properties and option of controlling its size, manufactures sand meets the grading requirement well for a particular construction.
PROS OF USING M SAND
• Low cost of construction.
• Absence of compounds that delay settling time, hence adding to the concrete’s strength.
• Artificial production using State-of-the-art international technology and modern machines helps in the production of required quality.
• It is produced using process synonymous with natural processes.
GIVING MORE TO THE CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION
It adds to the strength, durability and workability of the concrete producing fewer defects of construction.
At the same time, it is economic.
Manufactured sand is also eco-friendly as it prevents degradation of river beds for natural sand. Hence it lessen the threat to underwater flora and fauna
